> My name is Sofia and I am part of the IAPS Events Working Group. I am writing this email to let you know about a new IAPS event, IAPS Industry Talks, which will take place next Wednesday, 9th of June!

> The IAPS Industry Talks is a brand new event that was created to showcase to the IAPS community what physicists can or can't do in the industry, what are the biggest issues, differences, and opportunities when compared to academia, and what is like to have such a career, by hearing from strong examples present in the IAPS alumni community. 
> 
> The event is an informal talk and discussion with young IAPS alumni, having graduated from their masters or PhD not long ago, and who are now pursuing a career in industry. The alumni, with the presence of a chair, discuss among themselves and with the audience, their path, their biggest challenges and the advantages of such a career. The conversation is informal and easy going and the participants will feel comfortable to ask all their questions to the speakers.

> The event is just around the corner and thus we invite you and your members to participate in the first IAPS Industry Talks. This first edition will happen next Wednesday, 9th of June, at 1pm (13:00) UTC via Zoom. The chair is the IAPS Executive Committee President, Duarte Graça, and the speakers are:
